Local Police Department Service

In 2013 Troy Lowrie applied for and was accepted to be one of 17 unpaid reserve officers in Morrison, working one day a week. The Lowrie Family Foundation believes that it is important to find a more sincere way to give back instead of writing checks.

“I meet all the qualifications, I’m POST (Peace Officers Standards and Training) certified and I went to the police academy. I love what I do up here,” said Lowrie. “I hope I do some good things,” said Lowrie.

Mike Ocello also serves in a local police department in Illinois. Together they have donated a total of 450,000 hours of service to their communities.
